How to do it
In the Brizeet app, on any account — customer or driver:
-
01
Open the Profile tab
The last tab along the bottom.
-
02
Scroll to the bottom and tap “Delete my account”
It sits below Sign out, in red.
-
03
Read what it says, then confirm
The dialogue spells out what happens before you agree to it. Choosing Keep my account changes nothing.
Your personal details are erased at that moment and you are signed out straight away. There is no waiting period, no cooling-off window, and no way for us to undo it — which is the point of a delete button that means what it says.
Finish what is in flight
If a delivery of yours is still running — posted, accepted, part-way through, delivered but unconfirmed, or under dispute — the app will stop you and say so. Somebody is holding somebody’s property, and vanishing mid-errand leaves the other person with a job and no one to reach.
Complete or cancel those first, then delete. Requests nobody accepted expire on their own once the deadline passes.
What is erased
Immediately, and permanently:
- Your name
- Replaced with “Deleted user” everywhere it appeared, including on past deliveries.
- Your email address
- Overwritten with a placeholder that cannot receive mail. We can no longer contact you, and nobody can look you up by it.
- Your phone number and city
- Erased.
- Your photo
- Removed; the profile falls back to a drawn avatar.
- Saved places
- Every address in your address book, deleted outright.
- Your routes
- For drivers: every corridor you set up, deleted outright.
- Location points
- Every point recorded during a job, deleted outright. (These are purged after 7 days in any case.)
- Your devices
- Push tokens deleted, so no notification can reach your phone again.
- Your sign-in
- The account is closed and cannot be signed into again. The password was only ever stored as a hash and goes with it.
What is kept, and why
Deliveries had two people on them. Erasing one person’s copy of a delivery would erase the other person’s record of an errand they paid for or were paid for — so the delivery itself stays, with your name no longer on it.
- Completed deliveries
- The request, its status timeline, proof photographs, messages and attachments, and any rating — attached to an account that now reads “Deleted user” and carries no email, phone or photo.
- Disputes
- Kept as part of that record, for as long as the delivery is.
- The audit log
- One line saying an account was deleted, when, and the reason if you gave one. It is how we can show that a deletion actually happened.
None of what stays behind identifies you by name, email, phone number or face. If a delivery’s own text mentions you — a note you typed, a message you sent — and you want that gone too, ask us at [email protected] and we will deal with it by hand.
How long it takes
The first row is everything in the erased list above, at the moment you confirm. Backups are not readable by the app and are never used to bring an account back.
If you cannot sign in
Try Forgot password on the sign-in screen first — a code arrives by email and you are back in, which is faster than we are.
If that is not possible, email [email protected] from the address on the account, asking us to delete it. We will confirm it is yours, do exactly what the button does, and write back when it is done — within 30 days, and usually much sooner. We will not ask you for your password or for a photograph of any document.
A suspended account can be deleted the same way as any other.
If you want less, not none
Deleting is not the only setting. Before you go:
- Notifications — Profile → Notifications turns off pushes and emails one category at a time, including email about your deliveries.
- Location, camera, photos — revoke any of them in your phone’s own settings. The app keeps working; you type addresses instead.
- Drivers — going offline mutes new job notifications without touching anything else, and a route can be deleted on its own.
- Saved places — removable one by one from the Profile tab.
